Kim Jon Il was known for a lot of things- nuclear weapons, harsh dictatorship and die-hard Michael Jordan fan. However, most didn't know his ultimate love for cognac alcohol.
The fallen North Korean leader reportedly spent $720,000 per year on Hennessy, with bottles averaging about $630 per bottle in the country.
Don't think that the French luxury brandy maker will be heartbroken over the loss of his business, as they recently released a statement.
"I don't usually get someone of his notoriety, in more ways than one. I just know that cognac in general is extremely popular among the Asian community. It's a very large status symbol, and we're one of the premier luxury cognacs in the world, and it's not surprising that he would gravitate towards that."
